"She is facing the long road of recovery, but not after rounds of chemotherapy, the type of which will be determined after the pathology comes back. After the personal challenges of the past two years, she has no savings, and was depending on her paychecks and other small amount of funds to get her bills paid every month. Now, she finds herself on COBRA insurance, expensive although a life saver, unemployment, and very little else keep her house, which she loves so very much, and has lived in for 30 years."

To date the page has raised close to $20,000 of the $30,000 goal.

"Marion Roth is a treasure in Ridgefield, CT. As Director of the Chamber of Commerce for over five years, she became a friend to the town's business owners and so many wonderful people who live in Ridgefield. Whenever I'm in town with her, we cannot go more than a few minutes without someone saying hello, and wishing her well. I always joke that I never knew such a rockstar. It is heartwarming, and I think often of the joy of her friendship, and how she loves this Town. Though very hesitant to ask for help, Marion needs financial support now."
