The Hickories Hosts Annual Sheep Stroll & Holiday Shopping Event
The Hickories invites the Ridgefield community to their annual tradition of ushering in the pregnant sheep from the fall to the warm barn.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Hickories farm, located at 136 Lounsbury Road in Ridgefield, invites the community to their annual "Sheep Stroll & Holiday Shopping" event on Sunday, December 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. Attendees can share in a favorite family tradition of leading their expectant mother sheep out of the autumn pastures and into the warm, cozy winter barn.
Farmhands will gather with guests to guide the way for the sheep and listen to holiday bells ring as the flock comes home to their mangers. December 4 is also the first day of The Hickories special Holiday Farm Store. Guests can browse and shop from farm-inspired gifts, The hickories signature fresh marinara sauce, salsas, preserves, wool blankets, and other farm treats.
Eggz Kitchen and Redding Roasters will be selling delicious food and drinks to help guests stay warm.

The Holiday Farm Store remains open for winter hours Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for your holiday shopping. The Hickories' online store is open 24 hours a day at www.thehickories.org. In addition to their assortment of The Hickories organic winter produce, pastured meat, and preserves, custom farm-to-table gift baskets can be ordered in advance and make great gifts for anyone on your list.
Children and adults can enjoy making a wool craft with yarn from The Hickories sheep. Items are limited so be sure to come early and stock up on a bounty of local flavors and warm woolens.

The Hickories Sheep Stroll is $5 per person, and spots can be reserved at www.thehickories.org/sheepstroll.
Please arrive promptly at 4 p.m. Shepherding begins at dusk.
