Police Seek Public's Help In Investigation of Stolen Vehicles

The thefts occurred during the early morning hours on Sunday, police said.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police are reporting that four motor vehicles were stolen from residences in the Lafayette and Barry Avenue.

The thefts occurred during the early morning hours on Sunday. The pilfered vehicles all had their keys or key fobs inside.

"Over the past few weeks throughout the State of Connecticut there has been an increase in stolen motor vehicle complaints. This trend is now being seen in the Ridgefield Community," Ridgefield Police Chief Shawn Platt said. "We urge all residents to continue to be diligent with securing your vehicles and removing your personal effects overnight."

Police are asking anyone with any information or video footage from the time the vehicles went missing to contact the Ridgefield Police Detective Bureau at 203-431-2794 or the confidential tip line at 203-431-2345.
