Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance Two Step Into Former Gap Location
The Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance is growing and moving two doors down to the former Gap clothing store on Main Street.
The Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance is redesigning the former Gap location to create an expanded multi-classroom and performance space as its new home.
"We are delighted to realize our goals of more than doubling our Main Street studio to bring all our classes under one roof, adding a performance space for our dancers and guest artists, and significantly increasing our very visible ‘face’ on Main Street," said Howard Turner, chairman of the Board of RCD in a prepared release. "It’s a success story for the arts and for the vibrance of Main Street."
The former Gap clothing store is being redesigned to include three studios, a performance venue, dressing rooms, offices, and meeting/reception areas. The relocation work is anticipated to be completed over the next few months, and Christina Paolucci, Co-Director, said the move could be completed by May 1.

"We are excited about the opportunity to create something of a creative hub on Main Street in this larger, re-imagined space – for our students, our faculty, guest artists from around the country, our friends in related arts, and the public that has been so supportive of us," said Paolucci.Â
