Ridgefield Expands Emergency Management Communication Systems

A new website, Ridgefield Alerts, will eventually replace the current CTAlert system

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The town has launched a new website that will serve as a central source for emergency notifications and other community information. The new communication system currently supplements CTAlert and will eventually replace it in Ridgefield, according to a news release from the town's Office of Emergency Management.

Residents may sign up at the site, Ridgefield Alerts, online. Those with an existing CTAlert account will need to use a different username.

Neighborhoods which have banded together through email or private Facebook groups may designate a point of contact to accept communications from the town to share with neighbors in the event of an emergency.
