Ridgefield Makes Girls Cross Country Poll

The top boys and girls cross country teams in the state were ranked by coaches, and the results published on www.ctxcpoll.com.

Staples High School nearly swept the field as far as first-place votes go in the latest Connecticut boys cross country coaches poll, while the Glastonbury girls were in fact a unanimous choice of voters.

Staples was named first on nine of the 10 coaches' ballots in the boys division, with Hall of West Hartford also gaining a top vote. Glastonbury received all 13 first-place votes in the girls poll.

Ballots were compiled by Amity Regional boys coach Jon Faitsch and published on www.ctxcpoll.com.
