Ridgefield Man Charged with DUI After Hitting Police Cruiser: Report
A Southbury police officer was injured in the accident which occurred Sunday in Southbury.
Todd Schoenherr, 47, of Ridgefield, was arrested after midnight Sunday after a crash involving a police officer’s cruiser, which ended up in the Southbury police officer being taken to a hospital, Fox CT reports.
The crash happened on Route 67 near the Exit 15 ramp for I-84 in Southbury and officer Kevin Burns, 52 of Southbury was sent to Saint Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries, the report states.
Schoenherr allegedly failed a field sobriety test and is charged with DUI, Fox reports.

He was released on $5,000 bond.
