Billed as “the epitome of the ultimate Fairfield County home,” the spacious Hillcrest estate at 154 Rippowam Road, Ridgefield, is being listed for $12 million.

The 19,000 square-foot mansion features nine bedrooms, eight fireplaces, indoor and outdoor pools, theater, wine cellar and vault, six-car garage and a Great Hall, among a slew of specialty rooms for music, massage and more.

It was redesigned by architect Jeff Mose and built by Mark Mosolino in 2010.

The $12 million price tag is less than the $25 million asking price for an estate on Ridgebury Road but more than twice the listing price for Houdini’s former Ridgefield home.

At $12 million, each square foot is rent on a studio apartment ($632) and the estimated monthly mortgage payments are equal to a low-end luxury car ($45,854).

Hillcrest last sold for $3.5 million in November 2007.
