Ridgefield Police stopped a car reported to be operating erratically on Main Street Monday at 10:30 p.m. Police said when they talked to the driver, they caught a strong odor of alcohol. Police said Ishara Perera, 40, failed the field sobriety test, and was released on a $100 bond for an appearance scheduled in Danbury Superior Court on Dec. 20.
