Ridgefield Police To Hold Drug Take-Back Event

The police will be holding a drug take-back event on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This service is free and completely anonymous.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The police will be holding a drug take-back event on April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Potentially dangerous, unused and unwanted prescriptions and over-the-counter medications will be collected at the Ridgefield Police Department located at 76 East Ridge Road. The drive-thru take-back will be set up so that people wishing to dispose of medications will not have to exit their vehicles. This service is free and completely anonymous. All medications that are collected as part of this initiative are taken to an incineration facility by the Ridgefield Police Department for destruction.

There is also a drug take-back box located in the front lobby of Ridgefield police headquarters. This take back box is available to the public 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and is also completely anonymous.
