Ridgefield Police Seek 2 Suspects In Liquor Store Larceny
Police say the suspects escaped with $500 in alcohol and fled in a Jeep Grand Cherokee with Ohio plates that was used in another robbery.
RIDGEFEILD, CT — The Ridgefield Police Department is continuing to investigate a liquor store larceny earlier this week in officials say two masked suspects escaped with $500 in unpaid alcohol before they fled in a vehicle that was used in a separate robbery.
Police say two suspects entered a local establishment at 3:40 p.m. Monday wearing masks and gloves. Officers responded to the store for a report of shoplifting and were told that the two suspects left the scene with the merchandise without paying.
The suspects then fled in a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Ohio plates, police said. The vehicle was later used in an armed robbery in Branford after police officers in Wilton were unable to stop the vehicle after it passed through the area after the first robbery, police said.
