Ridgefield Police Warn Local Residents Of Vehicle Theft

Two motor bikes were stolen from a local residence early on Thursday while police received reports of other vehicles being tampered with.

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Police Department is warning local residents to secure their vehicles after two vehicles were stolen in the early hours of Thursday morning while police received reports of other vehicles being rummaged through.

Two dirt bikes were stolen from a residence in the West Mountain Road area overnight, police said while multiple other vehicles were tampered with through the Barry Avenue and Florida Hill Road area. In addition, police reported Thursday that a stolen vehicle from Wilton was recovered on Florida Hill Road.

Police are urging residents to not only secure their vehicles but o also remove their personal effects. If anyone has details about these incidents, they are asked to contact the Ridgefield Police Detective’s Bureau at (203) 431-2794 or on the confidential tip line at (203) 431-2345.
