Ridgefield Police Warn Of 'Suspicious Incident' On Gilbert Street
Police say a young girl was asked to get into the car of a man driving along Gilbert Street
RIDGEFIELD, CT — Police are alerting residents to a "suspicious incident" they say occurred on Monday.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., police say a young girl was approached by a man driving a silver Subaru or Honda sedan with Connecticut license plates on Gilbert Street near Main Street. The girl told police the man asked her to get into the car, and she refused, changing her direction. The man then continued down Gilbert Street and made a right turn on Main Street.
According to the girl, the man appeared to be an Indian or Hispanic "with a slight accent," in his late 20s or early 30s.
