Vegan Restaurant Coming to Ridgefield?

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The former home of a popular ice cream shop may have found a new resident.

Johnny Gelato shuttered suddenly in December, but town records indicate that a new eatery may be moving into Johnny's old digs at 424 Main Street.

A permit was filed to "convert existing 'Gelato shop' into Vegan/organic restaurant/food establishment" was issued by the town on March 15.

The applicant for the new restaurant, which is called Organica in the records, is Biagio Riccio.
