Village Tavern in Downtown Ridgefield Closed Again

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The closed-again, open-again Village Tavern on Main Street appears to be closed again.

The restaurant's windows were shuttered on Thursday.

The Village Tavern opened in January 2017, serving "new American cuisine." The business shuttered suddenly in January 2019, only to announce on social media scant days later it would reopen under the control of the establishment's original partners Chef Germano Minin and resident Joe Chelednik.

The restaurant reopened March 13, with Minin as the owner and operator.
