The Village Tavern in Ridgefield to Reopen This Week

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Village Tavern has announced it will be reopening this week.

The eatery will open its doors once again on Wednesday, March 13, at 4 p.m.

"Chef Germano and his team want to thank everyone in the community for their support of the restaurant," a spokesperson for the popular Main Street destination said in a release.

Some changes have been made to the menu (see below), including the addition of a few gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options.

The Village Tavern opened in January 2017, serving "new American cuisine." The business shuttered suddenly in January, only to announce on social media scant days later it would reopen under the control of the establishment's original partners Chef Germano Minin and resident Joe Chelednik.

The Village Tavern in Ridgefield will be open noon to 9:30 p.m., Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; noon to 10:00 p.m. on Friday; and 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
