Winter Break Art Camps Offer Unique Fun for Ridgefield Youth

Kids age 4-12 can choose from clay penguins, gingerbread house painting, musical theater and more at these fun-filled school break art camps

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Children and families have a new creative space to explore with unique workshops during the winter school break, Tuesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 29, 2017. The Arts & Nature School of Ridgefield, located on Route 7, is offering drop-off art and musical theater classes for kids ages 4-12 during the school break.

Students can choose to make marshmallow and sugar cube igloos and clay penguins, paper mache and felt stick puppets from upcycled materials, musical theater trial days or "Splatterday,” a unique sensory painting experience. Kids will get to be the painting as they throw, fling, stomp and splat paint in the portable splat room. After decking themselves out in a set of goggles, smock and paint cap to wear, families can take home a unique abstract canvas creation.
