Winter Team State Championship History: Ridgefield High School

RIDGEFIELD, CT — As practices for high school winter sports officially get underway in Connecticut Monday (girls basketball, ice hockey and wrestling) and Thursday (boys basketball, indoor track, boys swimming and girls gymnastics), hopes run high for all teams to achieve the ultimate goal: winning a league championship, and possibly a state title.

To help squads get into the championship mentality, here is a listing of the eight CIAC winter team titles won by Ridgefield High School in past years (* - indicates a co-op team).

• boys swimming (3) - Class L: 1994, 1993; State Open: 1993
• boys ice hockey (2) - Div. I: 2017; Div. II: 2002
• boys indoor track (2) - State Open: 1977; Class L: 1977
• girls gymnastics (1) - Class M: 1993
