James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA

  • Simsbury resident Claire Alix has been named to the president's list at James Madison University for the fall 2019 semester. Students who earn president's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.900 or above. Alix is majoring in communication sciences and disorders.
  • James Madison University is pleased to announce Allison Hoffman and Matthew Pappas, both of Simsbury, made the dean's list for the fall 2019 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899.

  • Samantha Betti, Margaret Gammell and Susan King, all of Simsbury, are part-time students named to the CEO's List for the fall 2019 semester. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester, and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC, are eligible for the Part-Time CEO’s List.
  • Alexander Romejko of Simsbury was named to the Dean's List for fall 2019. Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher. They may be subsequently recognized at successive 12-credit intervals.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

  • Three Simsbury residents made the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2019 fall semester: Brendan Clancy, industrial engineering; Mikaela Barlow, new media design; and Julie Sojkowski, computer science. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

  • Two students from Simsbury were named to the fall 2019 Dean's List at Stonehill College:
    Natalie McDonough, Class of 2020, and Caroline Stent, Class of 2023. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.

Tufts University, Medford MA

  • Tufts University recently announced the dean's list for the fall 2019 semester. Among students earning dean's list honors were Katelin Isakoff and Justin Schuster, both of Simsbury. Dean's list honors at Tufts University require a semester grade point average of 3.4 or greater.

University of Scranton, Scranton PA

  • Miranda Livingston of Simsbury was among the 177 University of Scranton students who studied abroad during the Intersession 2020 semester. Livingston, a international studies major at Scranton participated in the University's travel course, Irish Political Culture in Ireland.
