Town Of Simsbury: Great Pond State Forest Information Sessions – July 10 & July 15

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is holding an information session on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 6:30pm regarding the removal of dead oak trees in Great Pond State Forest, along with the removal of additional logs left from a past timber harvest.  The meeting location for the information session is a small pull-off area across from 201 Great Pond Road.  Vehicles may park across the street from 201 Great Pond Road; please abide by all traffic laws. Please RSVP to Jerry Milne at gerard.milne@ct.gov by Tuesday, July 13 if you plan to attend. 

In addition, Mr. Milne will host a Tree Identification walk on Saturday, July 10 at 10:00am at the main entrance to Great Pond State Forest.
