- Patrick Lyman of West Simsbury has been named to the Emerson College Dean's List for the fall 2019 semester. Lyman is majoring in Media Arts Production and is a member of the class of 2019. The requirement to make Emerson's Dean's List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

- Emily Candels of Simsbury was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Candels is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.

- Four students from Simsbury have been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the fall 2019 semester at St. Lawrence University. They are Katherine Angus, a member of the Class of 2020 majoring in English; Margaret Chaves, a member of the Class of 2023; Kari Hyyppa, a member of the Class of 2021 majoring in multifield bachelor of arts; and Morgan Ryan, a member of the Class of 2020 majoring in statistics.
