Details On When The Heatwave Will End In Hartford and Tolland Counties

There will be some big weather changes this weekend in northern Connecticut. Here's the latest.

In Hartford and Tolland counties we can expect the oppressive heat to stick around until Sunday and that is when showers and thunderstorms may roll in giving us a break from the 90 plus degree temperatures. But for Friday and Saturday we'll still be in the 90s and temps could reach 95 degrees today in Hartford and Tolland counties.

According to the National Weather Service you can expect mostly sunny skies on both Friday and Saturday with temps in the 90s and then showers may roll in late Saturday night, currently forecast for after 10 p.m.

Sunday isn't looking like a great weather day, as it will be mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers all day. But the good news is that the high temp on Sunday will be more manageable and only around 80 degrees.
