Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation Announces 'Vigil Against Hate'

The community is invite to attend 'Vigil Against Hate: Stand with Our Muslim Neighbors' on June 27.

From the Farmington Valley Jewish Congregation: Come to the Farmington Valley American Muslim Center on Tuesday, June 27, at 7 p.m. Take a stand against hatred and join people of all faiths in a vigil of love.

The Finsbury Park attack in London and the murder of Nabra Hassanen, a 17-year-old Muslim girl in Virginia, have shocked people everywhere. Farmington Valley faith communities are gathering next Tuesday at 7 p.m. to show solidarity with our Muslim neighbors. The vigil will be held at the Farmington Valley American Muslim Center located at 35 Harris Road in Avon, Connecticut.

People will unite in friendship and prayer, including leaders and members of the Farmington Valley Jewish Community Congregation, West Avon Congregational Church and Simsbury United Methodist Church, among others. We urge everyone to join us.
