Through 8 p.m. Monday, Simsbury Police are accepting donations in front of Best Buy.
The "Fill the Cruiser" collection goes to the Salvation Army's holiday distribution efforts. The effort is primarily to collect items for children up to age 13 but food and monetary donations will also be accepted.
This is the 13th year the department has participated in the collection.
"The event's worked out really well," said Sgt. Mark Critz. "Everyone in town has been really generous."
To contribute to the collection simply visit officers in front of the Best Buy Store, 44A Albany Turnpike, West Simsbury.
