Hampton to mark 70th anniversary of Necker's Toyland

Simsbury's state representative will present the store with an official citation from the Connecticut General Assembly.

State Rep. John Hampton, D-Hampton, is slated to mark the 70th anniversary of Necker’s Toyland on Saturday, April 7, during a citation presentation.

Hampton will honor the third generation of the family-owned business during its anniversary celebration with an official citation from the General Assembly.

“Necker’s Toyland has been a pillar of the Simsbury community for 70 years. Since being established in 1948, this family-owned business has given back to the community and has enriched the lives of countless families and children by creating a world full of fun and adventure,” said Hampton. “I am honored to mark the store’s 70th anniversary and look forward to seeing their legacy continue to grow in our community.”
