Democrat Alan Needham is seeking a seat on the Simsbury Planning Commission

BS in Education, MA in Audiology, SUNY at Geneseo

Work experience

US Army,  Own my own Audiology Practice in Bloomfield, CT

Why are you seeking office? 

Long term interest in Land Use issues, I believe that we need Commissioners who do their homework , who support and understand their own regulations and who know the relationship between development and growing the Grand List.

What experience do you bring to the table?  

Served on the Simsbury Zoning Commission, Planning Commission, Economic Development Commission and currently on the Conservation Commission. Have attended numerous workshops and training sessions on land use.

What do you feel is the town's most pressing issue?  

Balancing the need to hold taxes in check through development and protecting the Town Character that makes Simsbury such a desirable place in which to live.

What do you love most about town?  

What we see around us, our commitment to our schools, our volunteerism, our ability to work together to solve problems

What do you like to do for fun?  

Volunteer, College Basketball, Hockey, Farmington River, travel, family
