Connecticut Weather: Update on Possible 4th Nor'easter Impacts

Next week is the beginning of spring. That may not mean much for our weather though.

A possible 4th nor'easter may have "fringe" snow impacts on Connecticut, according to WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons. Simmons made that observation on social media after looking at new computer models Friday morning. However, Simmons and other meteorologists say it's too early to write this storm off and there is still a lot of uncertainty.

As of right now it looks like the storm could bring some snow and rain to the state on Wednesday and Thursday. Since the storm is still five to six days away, it's impossible to make any snow accumulation predictions.

This weekend will be dry, but it will feel very cold for this time of year. Wind chill factors this weekend can make it feel like it's in the teens.

"Unseasonably cool temperatures and dry conditions are forecast through the weekend. Daytime temperatures will range from the upper 30s to the middle 40s with the warmest day on Saturday. Nighttime temperatures will generally be in the 20s," the National Weather Service says.

Fox 61 Meteorologist Rachel Frank said "Still 5-7 days out from potential nor'easter, late Tuesday into Thursday. There are more moving pieces in this set-up than the last two storms which only add to forecasting headaches (several shortwaves). Still a lot of scenarios on the table and there will be for a few days."
