New Screenwriting Workshops at the Storyteller's Cottage

Starting in February

Starting in February, Pamela Perry Goulardt is running two screenwriting workshops at the Storyteller’s Cottage on Sundays.

Secrets of Screenwriting (winter session)

  • Sundays, February 2-March 22 | 1:00-2:30pm
  • Students will learn the secrets of writing a screenplay that will get noticed! In this intermediate class, they will explore the basics of visual storytelling, create characters, structure, story arc and conflict, discuss dialogue and voice, and most importantly, learn the correct way to format a screenplay (potential producers will not read a screenplay that is formatted incorrectly).

Filmmaking, TV Writing & Visual Storytelling for Kids (Winter Session)

  • Kids can get hands on experience with visual storytelling as they learn all about filmmaking and TV writing! They will expand their love of storytelling by learning the writing, photo, and artistic skills to inspire and create visual stories for small video and big screen magic!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR: Pamela Perry Goulardt is a produced screenwriter, Laurel Award Winner for her adaptation of renowned Indian writer V.S. Rao’s Navagraha Purana - The Forest Prince, and LIFE magazine award-winning photographer.

The Storyteller’s Cottage is located in a vintage Victorian house in the center of historic Simsbury, CT, and hosts all manner of immersive literary events throughout the year, including Agatha Christie inspired live murder mystery parties, Great Gatsby themed Jazz Supper Clubs, fascinating close-up illusions at Fine Parlor Magic nights, a Literary Dinner Party series on select evenings at midnight, and more.
