'No Confidence' Vote Being Taken Against Simsbury Police Chief
Members of the Simsbury Police Department have until early Thursday morning to take a vote of no confidence against Chief Nicholas Boulter.

SIMSBURY, CT — Plummeting morale and the recent firing of a sergeant have caused unionized members of the Simsbury Police Department to take a vote of no confidence against Chief Nicholas Boulter, WFSB-TV reported.
Sgt. Jason Trombly was fired Nov. 6 by the Simsbury Police Commission, after a lengthy report and recommendation by Boulter. Trombly and his attorney are appealing his termination.
The department's 36 sworn union officers have until 7 a.m. Thursday to decide if they have confidence in Boulter's abilities to lead the police force. If the vote passes, a recommendation will be made to town manager Maria Capriola.
