"Once Upon a Time Club" Storybook Writing Class
During April break, kids in grades 1 - 5 may visit the Storyteller's Cottage to create a storybook with Truly the Fairy

The Storyteller’s Cottage will hold a fun one-day children’s writing class, the “Once Upon a Time Club”, on Tuesday, April 9th from 10:00 am to noon. Featuring Truly the Fairy, the book-loving main character of the children’s book series set at the Storyteller’s Cottage, this class is designed to help children in grades 1 - 5 create their own storybooks. Held in the secret castle room hidden behind a mysterious bookcase door, the “Once Upon a Time Club” will combine creative writing exercises with crafts and drawing, and will result in a complete storybook for each student.
Truly the Fairy is a shy fairy who loves to read, and completes a series of adventures that lead her to the Storyteller’s Cottage, where she meets new friends who love books as much as she does, and who accept her just as she is. The series is written by children’s author Lana Bennett, who is also a staff member at the Storyteller’s Cottage. Truly’s friends, Helga the Hedgehog and Draco the Dragon are actually stuffed animals who do indeed live at the Storyteller’s Cottage. Truly’s stories appeal to introverted book lovers everywhere, who thrill at her puzzle-solving prowess as they learn to feel comfortable with themselves.
The cost for the “Once Upon a Time Club” is $20 per child, and registration is available athttps://www.storytellerscottage.com/book-online/once-upon-a-time-club.
