Simsbury Coronavirus Update: 21 Cases Now Confirmed
The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus has reached 21 in Simsbury, according to state health officials.
SIMSBURY, CT — The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus has reached 21 in Simsbury, according to updated figures provided Thursday afternoon by state public health officials.
In Connecticut, the number of confirmed cases is up to 9,784. Statewide, the number of deaths related to the virus is up to 380, with 1,464 patients hospitalized. Just over 33,500 people have undergone laboratory testing thus far, officials said.
Fairfield County continues to compile the highest number of confirmed cases with 4,882, or 49.9 percent of the state's total - its lowest percentage to date. Simsbury is located in Hartford County, which has confirmed 1,471 cases with 75 deaths.
