Simsbury Coronavirus Update: 59 Cases Now Confirmed
State health officials say the number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus is now 59 in Simsbury.
SIMSBURY, CT — The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus has reached 59 in Simsbury, according to updated information provided Thursday afternoon by state public health officials and the office of Gov. Ned Lamont.
In Connecticut, the number of confirmed cases is up to 23,100. Statewide, the number of deaths related to the virus has reached 1,6,39, with 1,947 patients currently hospitalized. Just under 71,500 people have undergone laboratory testing thus far, officials said.
Fairfield County continues to compile the highest number of confirmed cases with 10,008, or 43.3 percent of the state's total. Hartford County, in which Simsbury is located, has confirmed 4,303 cases with 469 deaths.
