On Saturday May 23rd, Simsbury crew was hosted by East Lyme. A limited number of spectators were allowed to watch these exciting races. All of the Simsbury boats raced and competed well against a challenging opponent. Simsbury's boys vartsity and girls novice took first place. East Lyme was a great host to the Simsbury Crew, displaying kind sportsmanship as both opponents cheered each other on.
Of course, the first-place wins were exciting, but the fact that families and fans were able to cheer on the athletes, in any capacity, was a joyous and much anticipated return to "normal". For the first time since the pandemic began, grateful fans were able to attend and cheer on our Crews in person, and the Simsbury boats gave them a lot to cheer about!
