NEW HAVEN, CT — For the sixth straight season, host school Hillhouse won a boys team title at the CIAC indoor track and field championships in the Floyd Little Athletic Center. In a twist, Saturday marked the first Academics victory in Class L, after winning the previous five Class M titles.

Hillhouse scored 76 points to edge runner-up Bristol Central's 68 in the boys team division. In the girls' competition, Windsor won the Class L team crown for the fifth straight year with 66, 10 better than runner-up Simsbury.

Elsa Martin of Simsbury set a new Class L meet record in the 600 meters, crossing the finish line in 1:36.64 to trim one-one hundredth of a second off the longstanding mark of Julia Rozier of Fitch, set in 2004.
