Simsbury Story Hunts Launch July 3rd
The Storyteller's Cottage introduces a unique new outdoor adventure for all ages.

The Storyteller’s Cottage in Simsbury, in partnership with the Simsbury Main Street business association, has launched Simsbury Story Hunts, a new outdoor adventure for all ages.
Participants will become amateur detectives as they follow a trail of clues and puzzles through the historic town center, picking up delicious treats from local purveyors along the way. By the time they solve the mystery, Story Hunters will have collected the makings of a lovely picnic which they can enjoy at their final stop.
Simsbury Story Hunts are a fun and unique outdoor activity perfect for families, couples and groups of friends, and can be described as a cross between a scavenger hunt, an escape room. Participants begin their hunt with only the first paragraph of an epic mystery adventure story, and the starting location of a specific walking route through the center of Simsbury.
At each location along the way, Story Hunters find additional installments of the story, along with clues that will point them to the next stop on their journey. At some stops, Story Hunters solve a puzzle, and at others, they’ll pick up a food item. The goals of the adventure are to follow the story to its end, solve the mystery, and collect the components of a delicious picnic to enjoy at the journey's end.
Three different mystery trails will be available this summer, and each will lead Story Hunters on a scenic route that laces together charming historic sites, secret gardens, obscure and fascinating landmarks, and beautiful scenery, to discover the hidden gems sprinkled throughout the delightful town of Simsbury.
