Simsbury Student Tests Positive For Coronavirus
The other students in the child's classroom were sent home and have a week of distance learning.
SIMSBURY, CT — A student at Squadron Line School has tested positive for the coronavirus and the other students in the child's classroom were sent home and have a week of distance learning, according to a letter home to parents, guardians, and Simsbury Public Schools staff on Friday.
The student tested positive when last at school on Sept. 4, according to the letter from Superintendent Matt Curtis, and the school immediately contacted the Farmington Valley Health District to assess the case.
Other students in the child's classroom will transition to distance learning through Friday, Sept. 18.
