In 2021, Simsbury Youth Hockey Association will celebrate our 50th anniversary of bringing developmental and competitive hockey to players from Simsbury and its surrounding towns. Over the years Simsbury Youth Hockey has proudly represented the state of CT in countless State and Regional competitions, however, we could not have asked for a better way to kick off this milestone than to send the first team in over 20 years to compete on the USA Hockey National stage.

The Connecticut Hockey Conference (CHC) hosts over sixty teams in the U14 division. Entering the playoffs ranked number 2 in the state, the team advanced to the CHC U14 Tier 2 Championship game on Sunday, March 28th at Northford Ice Pavilion to compete against number 1 New Canaan Winter Club Bantam A team. The competition was exciting and fierce, with Simsbury defeating New Canaan in an overtime victory with a final score of 4-3.

Simsbury Youth Hockey Bantam A will be the only team representing the State of Connecticut when they advance to the USA Hockey U14 Tier 2 National Tournament in McKinney, Texas from April 29th through May 3rd.
