Connecticut Weather: Still Some Snow, Then A Sort Of Heat Wave
Here's new details on how much snow is left to fall Wednesday and then there are big weather changes on the way, and change is a good thing.

This definitely wasn't the storm of the century, though northern Connecticut received a modest to moderate snowfall. The snow and rain isn't over quite yet as there is a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued for the Connecticut coast, and a Winter Weather Advisory for the rest of the state. Litchfield County is still under a Winter Storm Warning.
All of the weather advisories will end this afternoon. The National Weather Service says the Connecticut coast could still see up to an inch of snow, though New London County won't see any snow accumulation, just rain.
Inland sections of southern Connecticut may see up to another two inches of snow, largely before 1 p.m. Hartford and Tolland counties will largely see 3 to 5 inches, though some areas may end up with six inches, the weather service says.

And Litchfield County will end up with 5 to 10 inches of snow. Once this snow/rain departs this afternoon, the news is all good, and well deserved for us, as we've been suffering with brutally cold temps and lots of snow over the past six weeks.
It won't exactly be warm enough to head to the beach but daytime highs will be in the mid to upper 40s this weekend, which will feel like a heat wave compared to what we've been dealing with. According to the Weather Channel's 10-day forecast predictions the next chance for wintry weather is on Sunday, Jan. 28, 29, and 30. Temps are also expected to remain above the freezing mark through the end of the month.

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons said, "Snow/mix/rain ending 1PM-4PM from west to east. Some snow before ending even at the shoreline with temps near 32°. Okay for the evening commute. Quiet weather tomorrow - weekend."
