"Due to medical concerns I have not been able to participate in the legislative session the past few weeks, and will likely be out for several more as I continue to recover.

"I am hopeful and eager to return to full strength soon representing the citizens of Simsbury's 16th House District. In the meantime, I appreciate all the positive thoughts and well wishes that constituents, friends and colleagues have been sending my way."
