He is charged with stealing an iPhone from another person at gunpoint during a scheduled exchange, police said.

SIMSBURY, CT — A Massachusetts man was arrested Friday following a reported armed robbery which took place during a meeting intended to sell an iPhone.
Police were dispatched to the Willow Arms apartment complex at 55 Elm Street in the Tariffville section of town at 12:04 p.m. after a victim called 911 to report a suspect pulled out a gun during the planned exchange and took the iPhone. The suspect then walked into one of the buildings in the complex and was identified, Lt. Fred Sifodaskalakis said.
Police were able to make contact with the suspect, Christopher Fonville of Springfield, with assistance from the North Central Emergency Service Team, including crisis negotiators. Fonville surrendered to police without incident, Sifodaskalakis said.
