(Tyler Varsell)

Abby Wollenberg has joined The Ethel Walker School's coaching staff as the head varsity lacrosse coach. Wollenberg played at Roger Williams University (RWU) in Rhode Island from 2015-2019. She was an attacker for the D3 Hawks for four seasons and was a captain her senior season. Wollenberg was part of the 2016 Commonwealth Coast Conference championship team at RWU, which led to an appearance in the Division 3 NCAA tournament.

“I am over the moon excited to take on this role as head coach for Walker’s varsity lacrosse team," said Wollenberg. "The experiences I have had throughout my lacrosse career, whether it be coaching youth teams or playing four years at the collegiate level, have really prepared me to be successful in this position. After all the challenges of the pandemic, I am so excited to get out onto the field to coach girls who deserve to be out playing a sport that they love.”

Wollenberg is currently an elementary school teacher for Farmington Public Schools. She joins Walker’s coaching staff effective March 15.
