3 More Coronavirus Deaths, 29 New Confirmed Cases In Stratford
Stratford saw a spike in confirmed cases Thursday after numbers had remained relatively flat for several days.
STRATFORD, CT — Three more deaths were reported Thursday in Stratford in connection with the new coronavirus, according to the mayor's office. The town also saw a spike in confirmed cases after numbers had remained relatively flat for several days.
As of Thursday, 57 Stratford residents had died after contracting the virus and there were 631 confirmed cases in town, up 29 cases day-over-day, Mayor Laura Hoydick said in an email to residents.
Across Connecticut, there were 79 more virus-related deaths and 789 additional known cases out of 4,727 tests, the state reported Thursday. Hospitalizations dropped by 60 patients between Wednesday and Thursday. The total number of confirmed virus cases was at 31,784 statewide, and there had been 2,797 deaths.

To date 9,389 patients have been hospitalized for COVID-19 in Connecticut, 5,413 people have been discharged and 1,385 are still hospitalized.
