Some goings-on in town today, Tuesday, Sept. 17:
AARP Driver Safety Program The Stratford Library, in conjunction with the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), will offer another session of the "AARP Driver Safety Program," a classroom driver retraining program designed to help older persons improve their driving skills on Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 1-5 p.m.
Silvermine Art Guild-Stratford Lifelong Learners Stratford Lifelong Learners present-Silvermine Art Guild. Outreach Director, Sophia Gevas, from Silvermine Art Center will discuss the history, galleries, schools and programs. The discussion will feature works by local artists. Free discussion at the Baldwin Center starts at 1 p.m.
Park City Toastmasters Club Meeting Park City Toastmasters is an open group of members wanting to become better speakers and gain confidence for anything from being able to ace a job interview, network with business associates or give a speech or presentation to a large audience. Group meets every Tuesday evening at Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility, 7003 Main St., Stratford. Free and open to everyone.
