June 9th marks the third annual Connecticut Open House Day. This state wide event let's the state, cities, and towns showcase local offerings from restaurants to historical sites. You can enjoy discounts and even free admission to some of the best things to do in the state.
This year Stratford will be offering the following for Connecticut Open House Day:
- From 11 am to 9:30 pm Beach House Grill is offering 10% off all food and alcoholic beverages
- Christ Episcopal Church will be offering tours of their historic cemetery by costumed guides from noon to 3 pm
- Fairfield Craft Ales will have two flights of beer for $13 from 1 pm to 9 pm
- Enjoy 10% off on orders of $10 or more from 2 pm to 9:30 pm at Goody Bassett's Olde Fashioned Ice Cream Shoppe
- Mellow Monkey will give the first 100 vistors a free gift. They are also offering 25% off any one item, raffle prizes, free ice cream, and a Potter's wheel demonstration. Hours are 9 am to 7 pm
- The National Helicopter Museum has free admission from 1 pm to 5 pm
- Open Door Tea will offer tea tasting from 9:30 am to 10:00 am, a tea 101 class from 11 am to 11:30 am, and teach about the benefits of herbal teas from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm
- Paradice Cream will have buy one, get one one free slushies from noon until 10 pm
- Sterling House Community Center will be open from 9 am to 3 pm and have guided tours on the hour(10 am, 11 am, noon, 1 pm). Tour guests will receive a tote bag and light refreshments will be served throughout the day
- Free Admission from noon until 3 pm at the Stratford Historical Society
- Stratford Library will offer a variety of events for all ages from 10 am to 5 pm
- Two Roads Brewing Company from noon until 9 pm will have $1 off tours and 15% off all Connecticut themed merchandise
- Come tour the 1697 colonial William Perry House 11 am to 3 pm. Admission is free.
