STRATFORD, CT — CT Braces celebrated the opening of its new office in Stratford with a ribbon-cutting ceremony earlier this week.

Mayor Laura Hoydick and Economic Development Director Mary Dean joined CT Braces founder Dr. Shyam Desai, Office Manager Cheryl Blake and staff on Tuesday to mark the grand opening of the new office at 3226 Main St.

The new office, which is just down the street from its former location, provides “state of the art orthodontic care and exceptional patient service, in a modern and comfortable setting,” officials wrote in a news release.

Officials said the opening of the new office represents a “significant milestone” after the challenges of 2020.

“We are committed to providing the Stratford community with high quality, affordable, but most importantly, safe orthodontics,” Dr. Shyam Desai, founder of CT Braces, said in the news release.

The team at CT Braces has implemented routine coronavirus testing for employees, enhanced protective equipment, patient screening and social distancing in the offices.

“We put our people and our patients first, and their safety is our number one priority,” said Dr. Ali Greenberg, lead orthodontist at CT Braces Stratford. “We want our patients, and our team members, to know they are safe in coming to our offices.”

As part of its expansion effort, CT Braces partnered with myOrthos last year. myOrthos is an orthodontic services organization focused exclusively on orthodontists in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. Their mission is to empower orthodontic independence, provide exceptional patient care, and build a community of orthodontic excellence.

“We are thrilled to be a part of CT Braces’ growth in Stratford and surrounding communities,” Elizabeth Campbell, founder and CEO of myOrthos, said. “We share the core values of putting our patients and our people first and we are proud to support them in living these values both in the office and in the community.”
