Dance isn't just about movement, it has been proven to give its students better memory skills and the ability to focus which improves their academics; it keeps them fit, builds teamwork and self-confidence! Rockwell Dance Center in Trumbull encourages their students to be the best version of themselves. In a professional, nurturing and inspiring atmosphere each dancer is recognized for their unique abilities. Their faculty are educated accomplished dancers, performers, choreographers who are dedicated to their art form and their students. Rockwell has Scholarship and Company Auditions every May (call 203-502-8315 to find out more). In its first 4 years RDC awarded over $340,000 to their dancers on a talent and need basis. All are welcome whether auditioning for Modern, Ballet, Hip Hop or Tap Companies or coming in just for a scholarship. RDC believes in giving choices to their dancers - there are multiple performance opportunities available: A Winter Ballet, A Spring Ballet, Hip Hop Showcase, Hip Hop Battles, Ballet Showcases, Tap Showcases, Benefit Concert, Youth American Grand Prix, Dance Competitions and Conventions and the yearly Recital... Do ONE or ALL - it's up to you!
