Drivers Hospitalized After Crash On Route 15 In Stratford
Crews extricated the drivers of both cars after a crash near the Stratford and Trumbull town line over the weekend.
STRATFORD, CT — Both drivers were extricated from their vehicles after a crash late Saturday night on Route 15 in Stratford, according to fire officials. The crash happened around 10:20 p.m. June 6 near Exit 52 on Route 15 South.
“Engine 4, Tac 5, and Car 3 responded with Nichols Rescue 300 and Engine 301 to an MVA with extrication on Rt 15,” officials wrote in a post on the Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF 998 union’s Facebook page. “The drivers of both vehicles were extricated and transported to local trauma centers.”
Crews from both Stratford and the Nichols Fire Department in Trumbull responded to the scene.

“Because it is sometimes hard to pinpoint the exact location of an accident on the highway, we frequently respond with the Nichols Fire Department for incidents on the Stratford/Trumbull line on the Merritt Parkway,” Stratford fire officials said.
The last fire units cleared the scene around 11:10 p.m., according to the Nichols Fire Department.
