Firefighters Battle Blaze At Stratford Garage

STRATFORD, CT — Emergency personnel responded Sunday to a garage fire in Stratford.

Firefighters were on the scene of the blaze about 8:30 p.m., according to a Facebook post from Stratford Professional Firefighters IAFF 998. The detached garage was located on Cardinal Place, and the fire union urged Stratford residents to avoid the area.

The garage was destroyed but the fire did not spread to the house, according to comments on the Facebook post from multiple people who identified themselves as members of the affected family.
