Garage Fire Extinguished In Stratford
Crews responded to the fire Friday afternoon in Stratford.
STRATFORD, CT — No injuries were reported after crews extinguished a garage fire Friday afternoon in Stratford, according to officials.
Firefighters responded to the 700 block of Success Avenue around 12:30 p.m. on the report of a structure fire.
“Under the command of Assistant Chief Camperlengo, Engines 1, 3, 4, 6, Tac5 and Truck 1 responded with a total of 21 firefighters and 1 safety officer,” Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshal Robert Daniel wrote in a news release. “On arrival, Chief Camperlengo reported a fully involved structure fire with exposure to two residential dwellings. The fire was located in a one story 20x50’ detached garage and was under control in 15 minutes.”

The Bridgeport and Milford fire departments provided station coverage during the incident, according to Daniel.
The Stratford Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.
