GoFundMe Started For Mom, Baby After Stratford Fire
A 21-year-old mom lost her home in a recent fire.
STRATFORD, CT — Thousands of dollars have been raised for a mother and baby who lost their home in a fire earlier this week in Stratford.
As of early Thursday morning, just over $2,000 had been donated to a GoFundMe campaign for the 21-year-old mom and her infant son. While neither were injured, the fire Sunday on Henry Avenue left the second-floor apartment uninhabitable, displacing a family of five.
“We humbly ask for any donations that will help our friend and her 2-month-old baby get back on her feet and find a new place to stay,” said the description of the GoFundMe campaign, started by Kairyn Jimenez. “She lost all her personal items, along with the baby’s.”
